Position Purpose:
Under direction, perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant equipment & some troubleshooting / repairs.
The employee should be able to coordinate maintenance vendors to handle any facility breakdown.
Key Job Activities:
oPerforms all duties and tasks in accordance manufacturer and Stericycle procedures and with strict adherence to relative safety programs and standards including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
oPerforms diagnostic evaluation on equipment and makes repairs when needed and is willing to be on-call and respond to urgent repairs.
Ensures that repairs are performed properly in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
oPerforms routine, preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of machinery within the plant including but not limited to:
o incinerator process equipment/systems maintenance, including burners, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), high temperature refractory, controls, Process Logic Controllers (PLC), combustion air blowers, pressure controls and conveyance systems.
o air pollution control devices, to include bag houses, evaporative coolers, acid absorbers, and carbon beds.
o Various Pumps and related components.
o Hydraulic systems, hosing and valves, cylinders.
o pH control and chemical injectiono fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
o steam turbine and electrical generator systems.
o general air pneumatics, including air compressor, regulators, solenoid valves, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps and related systems.
o General plumbing including but not limited to hard piping, CPVC/PVC, copper, A-lock oPerforms light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/ 240V/ 120V/ 24V powers systems.
PLC, light robotics troubleshooting and 4 to 20 milliamp control loop systems.
oLight to heavy fabrication, demonstrating proficient welding (arc/electrode); acetylene torch; grinding cuttings skills.
oAssists Facility/Maintenance Manager by performing general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle's commitment to Safety.
oDocuments results through completed work orders or in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) based on schedule and priority or as required.
oPerforms other related duties as required or requested.
oStays current on all required safety training.
oShares time to be on-call and ready to complete emergency or urgent repairs outside of normally scheduled shift.
oNecessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle's commitment to Safety.
oShares time to be on-call and ready to complete emergency or urgent repairs outside of normally scheduled shift.
